
While Jazz fans should all be paying close attention to the entire Summer League roster, as breakout performances happen all over the tournament, the following three players are the ones to pay closest attention too. As of now however, his status for the NBA’s pre-season tournament is unclear. Randomly, he popped up a year later (in the Summer of 2008) on the Portland Trail Blazers Summer League roster - though the comeback didnt go as planned as he averaged just 6.0 points and 6.2. Walker Kessler, a first round pick of Minnesota acquired in the Rudy Gobert trade hasn’t been announced for the Jazz Summer League squad, but if he is added, the former Auburn Tiger could be a standout, and would be the player to watch the most for Jazz fans.


The Jazz will play three games at Vivint Arena beginning on Tuesday, July 5 before heading down to Las Vegas to wrap up Summer League action. Sure, there’s no big name player who is guaranteed a roster spot, but given some of the talented players we’ll see featured in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, there may be some roster spots up for grabs. After the Gobert trade, and potential future trades involving that draft capital, the roster that the team will begin the 2022 NBA season with is unclear as of right now, but if the Jazz need some depth for the upcoming season, then there is plenty of potential on this Summer League roster. Jared Butler, Johnny Juzang, Leandro Bolmaro, Tacko Fall and Jarrell Brantley were notable as the Jazz played in NBA Summer League in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
